Family FUN Night!
Psalm 127:3, NASB, Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.
Hey Parents, don’t forget to plan a “family night” this week with your kids! If this is your first time to plan one, be sure to give it a name to fit YOUR family, e.g., “Family Fun Night,” or “It’s a Group Thing”. You decide and be creative! Make a BIG DEAL out of it, BE excited as you tell them what this is about. It doesn’t have to be expensive, it’s all about spending time together as a family. You can write down several activities and let them draw one, or surprise them with your own ideal plan.
Kids want to feel IMPORTANT and LOVED. In this crazy, busy world FULL of sports, extra curricular activities, smart phones, social media and work, T-I-M-E is precious. This is a game and life changer! Make sure you are ALL in! Cell phones don’t get attention on these nights, unless it’s an emergency.
Activities like: Game Night, Arts & Crafts Night, Movie Night (w/popcorn, soda, and candy!), Picnics, Zoo Trips, Six Flags (or other outdoor fun parks), Camp Out (indoors or backyard, with a tent, pizza or hotdogs, and s’mores), Family and Friends Get-Together Night…the options are endless!
Make this a weekly event. This can start as early as 3 year olds and you can take it into their teen years! They will LOVE it, and you will too! It will draw you closer as a family, keeps the communication lines open, and creates life time memories!
