Faith of a Child
Mark 10:15 AMP, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever does not receive and welcome the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”
Jesus said we are to receive the things of God like a child! Children have an AMAZING ability to believe! WHAT they believe is key to where they are headed, and that’s where your job as a parent comes in. From the day of birth, they are learning. In their early years children don’t have to weed through ALL the negative experiences like adults. They don’t have a memory bank FULL of unkept promises, loss, or bad memories, to hinder them from believing what you tell them. When you tell them you're going to take them on a trip to Disney Land they WILL believe you. When you tell them Jesus loves them, they WILL believe you. When you tell them God wants to answer their prayers, they WILL believe you. Even in their toddler years, allow them to be a part of your walk as a Christian. Allow them to hear you pray, and watch you read your Bible. Teach them to PRAY, BELIEVE, and STAND on God’s Word. When Jesus blessed the children, he told the adults to come as a child. He used them as an example for their faith! Find an easy to understand children’s Bible to read stories of faith to them, until they can read on their own. Share stories with them, of how God has answered your prayers. Don’t be surprised when their faith surpasses yours! Don’t hinder their FAITH, build their FAITH!
